#24: Traffic Light Doors
I’m going to go ahead and assume that these doors were designed for public restrooms. If so, I would like to commend the person responsible for them for addressing a need in our society that is poorly addressed and lacking the attention that it deserves. Public toilet doors do indeed need renewing.
The number of times that I have accidentally walked in on someone because the door read ‘vacant’ or else missed a vacant cubicle because the door read ‘occupied’ is too high. The signage mechanisms break all too easily, and innocent civilians are paying the price. Bring in the color-changing lights!
