#20: “Geez, George, it was a wonder I was even born!”
This snapshot from Back to the Future is an excellent example of how on-location sets are altered to fit the movie. There was no Bluebird Motel. That’s an empty stretch of road reimagined by the set artists in the film. They added the bench, the sign, and the road markings.

If you want to try your own time travel on that same road, it’s located on Vermont Canyon Road in Los Angeles, California. I don’t suggest speeding, though, as you’re sure to get a ticket if you go too fast! Just stick to the speed limit and have a little fun. Who knows, maybe you’ll end up in 2023 if you time it right!
