#49: “Dead or alive, you’re coming with me!”
Yet another excellent example of how much cities change over time, Robocop was released in 1987, and the “now” pictures are from 2019. That’s some serious infrastructure change! The skyline is from the car chase scene in Dallas, Texas. If you watch the movie closely, you’ll notice you very rarely see Robocop in the cop car.
This is because he didn’t quite fit with his costume on, so they shot him getting in or out of the vehicle. It’s a miracle the movie was ever made at all. The script was thrown out by most big-name movie studios, and even the man who eventually said yes, Paul Verhoeven, only did so after his wife read it and convinced him it would do well.
