#50: Switching Apartments
In most apartments and hotels, the fewer rooms you’re in, the closer you are to the ground floor. So, rooms one and two would normally be on the first floor, and rooms 50 and 51 would be a few floors up, right? You’d expect the same logic to apply to TV shows, but it doesn’t.
In season one of Friends, Monica’s apartment is number 5, but she clearly has quite an impressive view of the city. Viewers immediately took note of this, and in season two of the show, the apartment numbers were changed to 20 and 19 to appropriately match the views. We wonder if someone said something or they figured it out on their own.
