#26: Geographically Challenged
It can be confusing why some shows intentionally misrepresent specific scientific, historical, or geographical information. This drives those who are knowledgeable in those fields crazy and informs others of incorrect information. People who like to correct others (we all know a person like that) might go mad over such mistakes featured on TV.
Season one of Friends, when Phoebe’s boyfriend David keeps referring to Minsk as being in Russia, is an example of this geographical incorrectness. Minsk is the capital of the independent country of Belarus. It’s almost hard to believe they’ve made a mistake like that. Is it possible this is a joke that we’re all missing?
