#26: “Adrian!”
The 1976 movie Rocky started a nine-movie franchise, including three Creeds. The stoop you see below was Rocky’s apartment, and it still stands today at 1818 Tusculum Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Built in 1920, it hasn’t changed much, other than a faded paint job on the stairs and a fresh burst of white around the windows.
Fun tidbit: the movie was written by Sylvester Stallone, who had less than $150 to his name when he was approached by two men who wanted to buy it for $10k. He refused unless they allowed him to star in it. The financiers wanted Robert Redford and cut the budget by half before agreeing to allow Stallone to star. I hope someone lost their job over that. He MADE those movies.
