We’ve all had some pretty pointless jobs in our lives. From folding clothes to pushing paper, these mind-numbing jobs were in no way challenging. You show up, do your work (kind of), and take home a paycheck. Well, next time you feel like your job is pointless, just remember that lifeguards work a the Olympics. 

It seems kind of ironic to have lifeguards stationed around a pool full of the world’s greatest athletes. Why would any of them need saving? We totally get that accidents can happen, and it’s better to be safe than sorry. However, the lifeguard in the background looks pretty bored. We think it’s better to be bored and safe than in danger, though!
