Comically Accurate Sports Memes That Aren’t Just for Fans

We’ve said it once, and we’ll say it again: soccer players are notorious drama kings and queens. If you attend a game where at least one player doesn’t fall to the ground in agony after touching a simple blade of grass, you’re not at a real soccer game. At this point, their theatrics are part of why fans love the game so much. 

After much deliberation, some players have to get carried off the field on a gurney. While opposing teams and their fans might roll their eyes at such theatrics, getting carried off on a stretcher isn’t good. That player could be legitimately hurt! Or maybe they’re just playing up their injury to get the referee to pull a yellow card. Whatever the reason, we’re only half-buying it.
