It’s a good thing that we’re humans and not robots. We’re able to see things and interpret them as they were intended to be. It’d be a bit unpleasant if we took it literally anytime somebody said to “break a leg”. A lot of the time, words, phrases, and even gestures don’t mean what they mean literally. How would things be if we took all those words at face value, though? Forget being figurative, what if we took everything literally, simply as it is? Well, you don’t really have to guess, because these wacky people decide to show us exactly what it looks like if you decided to take things too literally.
He Doesn’t Want Any Beef
Burgers are great and they can be made even better by having your personal favorite condiments slapped between the buns. Some people don’t like all the fancy things like lettuce, pickles, and mayo, however. This man is one of them, so he decided to make a request for a burger with “only ketchup”.
That was clearly taken very literally by whoever was behind the till. What he received was just two buns with a bit of ketchup in between. That’s definitely not going to hit that craving for a burger the right way. We’re not sure if he went back to complain. He probably didn’t because he doesn’t have any beef, right? (pun fully intended).
