Winamp
Okay, this one might be a deep cut for some millennials. Who remembers the Winamp audio player? This thing was every music lover’s answer to Windows Media Player. Winamp allowed you to play your music while showing off how cool you were because there was an endless array of skins you could apply to your audio player.
What better way to say, “I have superior taste in music and fashion,” than with a microchip-inspired wpx 278 circuit skin? Believe it or not, Winamp is actually still around. It looks nothing like the Winamp skins of old, but audiophiles everywhere can lean into their nostalgia and download it on their modern-day computers if they so desire.
