Gadgets For the Not So Gadget Savvy

April 19, 2022 by Jesse Olson

We’ll just get right to it: do you or does someone you know still rock a flip phone? If you answered yes to either or both of these questions, then you or someone you know is probably not so tech-savvy and that’s okay. Today is all about you as we look at gifts for those of you that refuse to embrace new technology. Let’s get started!

Wooden Docking Station

Are you always misplacing your things all of the time? Well, instead of having to look for your phone, keys, glasses, change, and earbuds, just keep them all together on your nightstand and you’ll never have to waste your time looking for any of these things again. This dock also allows you to charge your phone while it’s resting there, which is pretty 21st century of you if you ask us.

Our pick: Wood Phone Docking Station from Amazon ($34.99, shop here)

Easy Peasy Remote Control

Yeah, yeah, yeah, there are a lot of unnecessary buttons on the remote, we get it. Nab yourself or your friends and/or family members this Flipper remote that has a button to turn the TV on, a button to turn the TV off, channel surfing buttons, and volume buttons. This remote couldn’t be easier to use and you no longer have to hear about all of those extra buttons.

Our pick: Flipper Big Button Remote from Amazon ($39.95, shop here)

One Smart Cooker

This may look like your average crock-pot, which everyone should own by the way, but this crock-pot is so much more. This one has Bluetooth technology which means you can tell Alexa when to start cooking, when to stop cooking, and even if you need to adjust temperature settings. So see? Technology isn’t so bad!

Our pick: Crock-Pot Slow Cooker with Alexa Capabilities from Amazon ($119, shop here)

Space Tape Measure

You don’t have to be super high-tech to appreciate this digital electronic tape measure. Not only can you accurately measure things yourself, but it has an easy-to-read display, memory functions so you never have to try to memorize measurements again, and a converter for when you need to convert measurements.
Our pick: eTape16 Digital Electronic Tape Measure from Amazon ($35.99, shop here)
