Ah, young love. Many of us can look back on our early relationships and recognize red flags in hindsight. A lot of times recognizing red flags in past relationships comes with experience and age. It’s always tough when you see those same red flags in other young couples’ relationships. 

This person shared her frustration in seeing red flags in a younger couple she knew. They each said their partner was “perfect” and would then go on to call each other rude names as a “joke.” Being disrespected is never a joke, and it’s never funny. When you’re younger, it doesn’t seem like a big deal, but as you get older you realize that you want a partner who is respectful and will never bash you in front of others.
