#38: Obligation Over Desire
It’s always heartbreaking to hear wedding stories where one half of the couple is very obviously not into getting married. Someone attended a wedding where the groom basically pulled out a giant red flag and waved it around for all to see. He made it plain and clear that he did not want to get married to his bride.
He literally said that he didn’t want to get married and he didn’t want to be at the wedding reception. How awkward for everyone in attendance! It’s also sad that this couple felt obligated to get married even though they didn’t seem to enjoy each other’s company. They had a kid together, so maybe their families pressured them to get hitched.
