#27: A Deserted Ship
This shipwreck washed ashore on the coast of Zakynthos in southern Greece in the 1980s. It is named MV Panagiotis, and to this day, it’s a pretty big tourist attraction. Thousands of visitors flock to the beach each year to see this famed shipwreck, but what is the story behind the ship?

She began her illustrious career as a St. Bedan cargo ship in 1937 in Scotland. However, in the spring of 1940, she was used to evacuate the stranded Allies at Dunkirk. Nobody knows how many troops the ship rescued, but she is a hero in our books! Unfortunately, rumors are that she spent her final years being used to smuggle contraband before wrecking in 1980.
