Things That Have No Reason to Exist in Our Society But Inexplicably Still Do

It absolutely blew my mind when I first heard that there are really people out there who still think the world is flat. It’s like hearing that someone has decided that the number 6 doesn’t exist. How are people doubting something that is so well-established as a fact?

In fact, since it is apparently so easy to get people to believe insane things, I’m coming up with my own conspiracy theory: the earth is round, but the center of it is filled with Nutella, and if only we can reach it, we’ll have enough Nutella to feed the earth’s population for millennia.
