#7: Get Off the Chair
I think we can all agree right here and now that we spend too much time sitting. Most of us spend most of our day sitting, whether we have an office job and sit in a chair all day or are unemployed and on the couch all day. Some days are more active than others, but still, we spend most of our time sitting.

We know it’s not good for us- it’s not good for our posture, back, and weight- yet most of us don’t do anything to change this bad habit. As this fact suggests, standing for 3-4 hours a day for five days a week is equivalent to running ten marathons a year. Now, I don’t know whether this is true- but it probably can’t hurt to get off our chairs from time to time.
