Isn’t it crazy when something terrific is born out of an accident? Well, that’s what happened with the invention of safety glass. When safety glass was invented, we were already using glass in many everyday items, but something random happened that led to this creation.
One day, scientist Edward Benedictus was working when he accidentally knocked over a flask. When it hit the floor, it didn’t shatter into a million pieces, which surprised Benedictus. This led to the idea that similar materials could create safety glass.
