#17: Dratted Degree
You know what they say, a bachelor’s degree is the new high school diploma. The statistics back it up, with over 30% of Americans now holding one. Unfortunately, that degree isn’t exactly a golden ticket that will guarantee you financial and employability success. It’s more like a participation trophy.

And it’s one that costs tens of thousands of dollars and takes four years to earn! Of course, there are some careers where having a degree can prove useful. Also, you can put it on your resume and impress your parents’ friends at parties. Having a degree is not all negative news!
