Man of The Hour
Have you ever heard of a real-life superhero? Well, let me introduce you to James Harrison, aka “The Blood Donor.” For nearly 60 years, James made a regular habit of donating his blood plasma, which just so happened to be of a rare kind. But what’s so special about that, you ask? Well, through his selfless donations, James has been estimated to have saved over 2.4 million babies!
Now, I don’t know about you, but I think James deserves a cape and a spot in the superhero hall of fame for his amazing contributions. While the rest of us were busy binge-watching our favorite shows or scrolling through social media, James was out there changing the world, one donation at a time. And his incredible efforts didn’t go unnoticed. In 1999, he was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for his life-saving contributions.
