The Coldest Super Bowl
If you aren’t familiar with how winter works in the southern US, you might imagine it’s warm and sunny all year round without a White Christmas in sight, but just like the rest of us, Old Man Winter gets a hankering for some good BBQ and heads down south to make it happen, regardless of if it’s Super Bowl Sunday.
The coldest Super Bowl in history was Super Bowl VI in New Orleans, where the Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins faced off in frigid 39-degree weather. Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis also claimed the title as the coldest, with temperatures crashing down to zero degrees. However, players and fans thawed out inside the indoor stadium, whereas the Super Bowl VI crowd had to tough it out in the cold.
