This thing is not as uncommon as other items on the list, and yet, quite surprisingly, none of us really knows what this is. It’s one of these things we sometimes pass by on the street, and we never think to stop and question its purpose. Luckily for us, someone did that for us.

Someone came by this aluminum yellow thing attached to a telephone pole in Pennsylvania and was curious to know its purpose. One Reddit user explained that these things were called grid reflectors, and they’re supposed to help motorists see utility poles along the road and avoid them. Basically, they’re supposed to help motor drivers avoid accidents.
