Whether you just got some new wheels or you’re squeezing every last mile of that car you bought used in high school, we’ve got some gadgets that are just too practical not to have. (We’ll do bougie gadgets soon, we promise!) Let’s get started!
Portable Air Pump ($79, shop here)
We can’t even begin to count the number of times we’ve been on a road trip, stuck in traffic, or simply on the way to work when we’ve gotten the dreaded low tire pressure alert. And this particular alert never occurs at a good time, it only happens when we’re miles from a gas station or the air pump is broken. To avoid a ton of frustration, nab one of these portable air pumps that you can use pretty much anywhere. It’s small enough to easily fit in your car, once it’s fully charged it can be used for 40 minutes, it’s cordless, the display is digital, and works with most tires.
Phone Holder ($11.29, shop here)
Pop this into your vent and you’re ready to hit the road with both hands on the wheel and your eyes occasionally on the GPS. This particular holder works with most smartphones, allows you to adjust the angle, and is easy to use when it comes to putting your phone in or pulling your phone out.
Escape Tracks ($76.99, shop here)
Especially if you live somewhere with harsh winters, you need escape tracks because the thing about cars getting stuck is that they like to stay stuck, and you sure don’t want to end up stranded somewhere in the middle of a blizzard. All you do is jam them up against your tires and from there your tires grip them and do all of the work.
Folding Car Trunk Organizer ($25, shop here)
This will actually make you feel like you have your entire life together. You know all of those odds and ends that end up rolling around in your car? Well, now all of those things have a place. This organizer stays in place with the help of sturdy tie-down strap latches and the ability to easily connect more organizers. If you have the trunk space, we highly recommend one for basic car stuff and one for groceries.
Cordless Vacuum ($29.90, shop here)
Crumbs, gravel, sand, it all accumulates way too fast for our liking, but having a little cordless vacuum on hand to do a quick sweep is always a good idea and keeps your car looking fresh.
