Is it just me, or does the word salamander sound ridiculous? These typically little amphibians are found in and around water sources and are spotted by their lizard-like appearance. But this guy ain’t so little; in fact, he is known to be the largest amphibian known to man.

This particular salamander has been known to have a few quirky traits. He apparently makes sounds resembling those of small kids, which is strange. But also, he apparently smells like pepper! We’re unsure why people smell him, but we’d try anything once.
