#15: Slowly but Surely
Mee the Giant African Snail (also known by its more scientific name, Lissachatina fulica) is a species of land snail known for its size, among other things. As cute and harmless as he might seem, this snail is considered one of the top invasive species in the world, so I wouldn’t hurry to befriend him.
While the proportions of this photo might be a bit distorted (the woman’s hand looks a bit large compared to her body), this is still a pretty huge snail – it’s the size of a grown human’s hand, and it has quite a large shell! It’s around 8 inches long (20 cm) if you’re looking for numbers.
