#42: Shazam!
This next one is one of the first Mandela effect examples that I ever ran into, and it still wrinkles my brain, because I’m with the person below: I could have sworn that there was a movie in the 90s that was called Shazam that starred Sinbad as a genie. And I’m not the only one.
And the thing is, we’re close on a lot of the details: there is a movie from the 90s starring a popular (and tall) Black celebrity as a genie, and its title does sound a lot like “Shazam.” Outside of that basic framework, though, we got all of the details wrong. How did so many people get all those details wrong in the same way? It’s almost enough to make me believe in the alternate universe theory. But only almost.
