So, How About that “A”?
As a teacher, you have to be a fair grader, even if you have “favorite” students. That’s the problem this teacher ran into one year when one of the sweetest kids in the class dropped down a grade toward the end of the year. He was a really great, sweet-natured kid who had an A for most of the year.
However, when his grade dropped down to a B, his parents called a teacher-parent conference. They wanted to know why his grade had dropped so much. The teacher revealed that it was because he hadn’t turned in his homework for a few weeks. The parents blew this off as a minor inconvenience. They simply asked if the teacher could change his grade back to an A. As if it were that easy!
