Green, Yellow, Red
This teacher uses a pretty standard behavior monitoring chart for her students. All kids start on a green card, and if they misbehave, they get their card pulled to yellow, orange, or red. During pick-up, this teacher is kind enough to address student behavior with the parents. Seems like a pretty awesome system, right? One particular parent didn’t seem to think so.
One of the new students in this teacher’s class had a bad day and got their card pulled. When they tried to bring up the behavior with the new student’s mom, she completely lost it. Instead of acknowledging what her kid could do to improve, she started ranting about another kid in the class who was the one causing all the problems. She was a full-grown adult taking a verbal punch at a little kid. That’s really, really low.
