A Biting Response
If you’ve ever worked with little kids, you know that biting can be a common occurrence. It’s natural for kids to push boundaries, but consequences have to be in place to teach proper behavior. Two students in this teacher’s class got into a fight and biting ensued. The bite mark was pretty bad, and one of the kids admitted to biting the other.
The teacher approached the biter’s mom in what they thought would be a cut-and-dry disciplinary meeting. Boy, were they wrong. The mom of the biter was in total denial, even after seeing a photo of the bite mark. She argued that her son would “never bite anyone” and that the injury could be many other things besides a bite mark. Hopefully, this kid didn’t go on to bite anyone else, but who knows?
