#14: A Snowy Ancient Artifact
One person from Madrid got in on the snowy fun and shared their latest creation – not a snowman, but a snow Moai! A Moai is an ancient, monolithic statue found on Easter Island, a remote Polynesian island in the Pacific Ocean. These statues are renowned for their enormous size and distinctive features – most notably their oversized heads, as depicted in this snow sculpture.
We wonder what inspired them to make this sculpture and how long it took! And once again, we’re amazed by people’s creativity and skills. Our only concern is that it looks like it was pretty sunny when this picture was taken; hopefully, it was cold enough to sustain this sculpture – we’d hate to see it melt away!
