Amusing, Weird, and Ludicrous Examples of AI Chats Gone Wild

Be careful what you wish for, especially when it comes to AI. This person was messing around with ChatGPT when they had a genius idea. What if they ordered the chatbot to only say the word “orange,” no matter what? They soon found out and realized that their initial plan completely backfired. 

ChatGPT literally said “orange” in response to any and every prompt. You can see the person’s desperation rising as the chat goes on. First, they think it’s pretty funny. Then, they realize that the AI isn’t breaking the “orange” rule. They even try to write out a formal, authoritative prompt to get it to say something else, but to no avail. ChatGPT is a very literal entity.
