#40: Garbage Trucks of the Past
In days of yore, garbage collection was laborious, with workers hopping off trucks to gather and dispose of our waste. These trucks were merely oversized storage containers on wheels. However, a revolution has occurred! Today’s garbage trucks are marvels of efficiency, effortlessly scooping up our refuse without human intervention, making the whole process a spectacle of mechanized precision.
In the days of yore, waste collectors donned in their work attire would hop off their vehicles to manually lug the refuse from the curbside to the bin of their compact trucks. Although efficient for their time, these trucks were mere minnows compared to the leviathans that prowl our streets today, gobbling up garbage with an ease and coverage that would have left their predecessors green with envy.
