#47: It Measures Itself
Did you know that a tape measure case is a measurement in and of itself? The width of the case is more often than not the width of the tape itself. The measurements are always listed on the outside of the case for quick reference. This is incredibly convenient if you measure things often.
You can use this knowledge to easily measure things, like the inside of frames, without bending the tape to the edges. Bending the measuring tape can cause inaccurate measurements and a whole lot of heartache. This little-known feature involves some simple math that makes measuring much faster and painless.
