#33: In Case of an Emergency
Most new smartphones have safety features built in to give us peace of mind. New Samsungs and iPhones have a newer emergency feature that sends out an SOS if activated. Every phone is different, but most of them involve pressing a button or a series of buttons to call emergency services and notify loved ones.

The Samsung panic button contacts specified people in your phone to share your location. For the iPhone, you need to hold down the right-hand button and one of the volume buttons to call emergency services and sound an alarm. These features usually work even if your phone is dead or you are in an area with no reception. Read up on how to activate this feature on your phone. It never hurts to be prepared.
