#16: What’s in a Name?
The 1990s cartoon Doug also makes our list with a little-known detail. Although this is a children’s show, many people liked it for its profound themes and important messages. If you’ve watched the show growing up, you probably remember one of Doug Funnie’s closest friends and confidants, his neighbor, Mr. Dink.
One of Mr. Dink’s catchphrases is “very expensive!” and we know that he often buys items and gadgets that are very expensive. As it turns out, the reason why he can afford all those things is hidden in his name: his last name, Dink, stands for “Double Income No Kids”! Who knew? Not us.
