Keep Up the Act
We’ve all been there: our coworkers driving us mad, but we can’t say anything, because we have to be professional. It’s especially true for people working in retail: as a store clerk or a waiter, it isn’t the coworkers driving you mad, but the customers. And the customer is always right, so you have to stay professional, even if you know they are wrong.
Who invented the phrase “the customer is always right”, anyway? It must’ve been someone who’s never worked a day in retail. If you have, you know that some customers are just plain rude. And even when a customer treats you with disrespect, you have to remain calm and professional.
