#38: Skateboard like a Boss
Here’s another story about a skateboarding parent! Excuse us for getting all emotional and preachy, but it feels like teens back in the day used to spend all their time outside, playing, going to the beach, skating, and doing other activities, while today, teens spend most of their time looking at screens.
This contributor had no idea their mother could even balance on a skateboard, let alone fly all over central Florida using one as her primary mode of transportation. It’s a smart move, too, as it saves a ton of money and uses no fossil fuels. The only downside is that it’s a lot easier to break your arm skateboarding than taking the bus – especially when you’re doing it upside down.
