#35: Chilling at Machu Picchu
Having parents that have traveled has a tremendous impact on children. Traveling makes people more open-minded and empathetic, which are beautiful qualities to pass down to your children. Wouldn’t the world be a better place if everybody traveled and got to know it? The only thing better would be actually taking your kids with you!
Machu Picchu is definitely a brag-worthy journey. It’s an Incan citadel located in the mountains of Peru, where this contributor’s father visited with friends in 1978. From there, they traveled throughout South America to Argentina. The best part of this story is that the father met the mother only four days after taking this picture. Today, the site is so packed with travelers, you can barely take a picture.
