#50: Childhood Piano Lessons
I don’t know about you, but I used to take piano lessons growing up, and I hated pretty much every second of it. I guess what I hated most was having to spend a lot of my free time practicing the piano rather than watching TV or playing video games. That’s what happens when your parents force you into something you’re not really into…
I remember the various teachers that I’ve had over the years, I remember the shame of having to admit I didn’t practice my homework, and I remember how time used to stand still during those lessons. What’s the lesson here? Don’t force your kid into hobbies they aren’t interested in, because chances are it’ll just be a waste of their time and your money.
