Mechanical parts are always the first to fail in any system. Anything that gets pressed or turned or moved is likely to break first, so it’s no surprise when buttons and knobs in your car stop working, like this dial for the AC. Depending on where you live, the AC might not be something you can live without though.
Buying official replacement parts can be expensive, so why bother with that when you can just put your brain to the test and put it together – like this guy? This DIYer was able to use a spout knob and it works perfectly. What’s the point of paying the extra for a real part? We couldn’t tell you either.
