Is it just me, or does this story sound like it could be the plot of a Friends episode? It reminds me of that Thanksgiving episode where Monica put Rachel in charge of the dessert against her better judgment. Rachel went on to make the dessert even though she knew nothing about cooking (or baking), and, as expected, it was a colossal disaster.

Sometimes, it’s best to just let people do what they do best and leave the cooking to the professionals. I’m sure they all learned their lesson that year – never leave that one aunt in charge of the turkey – but despite everything, it sounds like they managed to have a nice holiday dinner! At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what you eat; it’s the company that makes or breaks the holiday.
