Why, Indeed
We typically think journalists ask hard-hitting questions to get the best answers out of the people they’re interviewing. But as you can see from this tweet, that’s not always the case. One person from a pretty popular TV channel interviewed a South Korean director about why his movie set in South Korea used South Korean actors and actresses who only spoke Korean.
Let that sink in. It’s like we Americans believe that we’re the center of the world, and all other countries are filled with NPCs who should adapt to our way of life. That’s not how the world works, even for “main characters.”
